I’m broadly interested in social demography, stratification, medical sociology, social networks, and migrant communities. In particular, I’m interested in using statistical and computational intensive methods to examine and model the social determinants of health among undocumented immigrants.

Prior to coming to UCLA, I worked as a data analyst at The Advancement Project; Healthy City. There, I utilized geographical information systems (GIS) and social demographic community characteristics to map, track, and explain spatial relationships between concentrations of neighborhood poverty, crime hot spots, and health disparity trends in the Los Angeles County region and broader California.
